Remember Them All

I write mysteries that take place before and during the second World War. I have spent countless hours learning about life back then and the many sacrifices that were made both by those in battle and those left at home.

So today, which is Remembrance Day here in Canada, I'd like to share this clip with you. It's the takeoffs for D-Day from the highly-honoured series "Band of Brothers". I can never watch it without tears.

  5. I've never seen this - it is a series? Looks wonderful.
My dad served as a bomber pilot in WWII and his three brothers too - one of whom died. It has become more and more a big deal to me...

  7. Jan; "Band of Brothers" was a TV series produced by Steven Spielburg and Tom Hanks. It's the true story of one platoon of American paratroopers through boot-camp, D-Day and to the end of the war. Fantastic.

    L'Aussie; Thanks for including it!
