Thirties Thursday



Tuesday was the summer solstice. In honour of the coming season, here's a Silly Symphony cartoon created in 1930 celebrating summer.

  1. Elspeth - Oh, those groundbreaking early cartoons! I love it! What ingenuity those animators had. Today we've got such sophisticated technology that those bits look quaint, but the reality is, those early animators really created something brand-new.

  2. Oh, I think I remember this one. Of course it was "old" by the time I saw it. Had to wait for TV to be invented.
