Focus In



You start off by focusing on this...



But then you notice this...


and this...


and the lushness of this...


And soon you're taking in the whole of this...



And wait! You just might see this...


Then you look up and see this...



And now you're lost in the wonder of this...


And you're noticing details like this...



But it all started with this...



Even the biggest story has to start somewhere.
Remember where you started.
It helps.

  2. Elspeth - Oh, how right you are. One little idea can lead to an entire wonderful forest of a story. It happened to me with my WIP; it all started when I walked by a balcony one day and wondered how high it would have to be for a fall from it to be fatal. Yes, I know, but I'm a mystery novelist. That's my excuse ;-).
