Elspeth - Gorgeous 'photos! Thanks for sharing. I love the path by the river; I think it's my favourite. I can just see that as a good place to find a body.... Oh, no, what is with mystery authors! It always comes back to dead bodies!
Each photograph has a story attached, several stories I am sure, but only one comes to me right away. Wish I could write them all!!! And lovely lines, and quite a coincidence that we both quoted the same lines today.
Gorgeous photos! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I can see a mystery developing on the path by the river. Is that a dead body I see barely visible in the brush?

Thoughts in Progress
I love these photos. The river one, with the deep colors and long shadows is the creepiest for me. The winding road makes me feel free.
ReplyDeleteTalli; You're welcome. I'm glad you liked them.
ReplyDeleteMason; And you're off! Well done.
Carol; Everyone has a different reaction. Thanks for sharing yours.
Roads are interesting. But I find the tree leaning out across the river in the second picture even more enticing.
ReplyDeleteKaren; It sounds as if you're right where you want to be. Every good wish for your writing journey.
ReplyDeleteDaring Novelist; I find the colours in that one intoxicating.

ReplyDeleteMargot; I swear it's because that photo has shadows stretching over the path. Some loving pair go off for a picnic and make a grisly discovery...
ReplyDelete*Nods head vigourously* That's it! It's the shadows! That makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI'm writing a story about a river right now. I find each photo you posted very intriguing, each in their own way.
ReplyDeleteAnd all this time, I didn't realize you were a photo-journalist!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes, Galen.
Gorgeous photos -- I love the path by the river.
ReplyDeleteI want to take a little stroll by that river. :)
ReplyDeleteMy choice in that lot would be the path by the river - awesome! Love the Frost quote too - one of my faves :)
ReplyDeleteI love that path by the river. A fair number of my scenes happen by the Nile, but it's pretty different topography.
ReplyDeleteAnd hot too.

Lovely photos and it's true as others have said all roads have a story.
