We Must Remember This...

As we do this...

and it sometimes feels like this...

or this...

We should remember

that this...

moves like this...

even though there are days it feels more like this...

We must believe

that just like this...

grows into this...

this...

will grow into this...

or maybe this....

Just like the little girl who once fit into shoes the size of this...

now looks like this.

This post is dedicated to my wonderful daughter Patricia, who turns 18 today.

  1. Happy Birthday, Patricia! And I love the creative blog, Elspeth - lots of pictures! I use a lot of pictures, too. Here's a link to the blog that I dedicated to my daughter on her birthday - if you get a chance, check it out:

  2. Elspeth - What a wonderful post! And Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter, too! Your point about writing is well-taken, too. It is amazing what the seed of an idea will become. It is amazing what a newborn baby becomes...

  3. Happy Birthday to your daughter, and congratulations to you!

And with regard to all those words we write,I had a wonderful moment today; one of my most experienced colleagues has read some of my flash fiction stories, and he was so impressed by my excellent English. (When you are 50, that is better than any birthday ;D)
