Reminders

As your plot does this...

remember that this...

although this...

is also this.

So, throw in some this...

And a few moments of this...

and even a few moments of this...

Remember for every time there's this...

there's also this...

and even this.

Because when a reader does this...

it's a this.

  1. So true, so true. But, it's a great way to keep that in mind. Love the pics.

  2. Elspeth - Thanks for the wonderful reminder that a well-written book is like a fascinating journey. Making the journey interesting - even dangerous at times - is the task of the writer. I always try, too, to ask myself, "Do I think this is interesting?" If it doesn't keep my attention, why would it keep the reader's attention?

  3. Laura; I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Clarissa; Thanks for letting me know!

Margot; Exactly. I'd venture a guess that if the writer is stifling yawns, it's not exactly a good sign.

  5. Looks like the kind of story arc I enjoy most when reading, especially the fast-moving twists and turns part. Clever post, Elspeth.
