and be ruthless with this..
Remember you don't have to do it alone...
or...who knows?

DeleteElspeth - What a great analogy! And how right you are about pruning and keeping pests away. That includes characters who don't pull their weight, scenes that you thought were witty and insightful but turn out resemble a scene from a Grade-Z movie, and descriptions that put even you asleep. Once that stuff's pruned out, there's sometimes a really beautiful flower...
