Pictures, Not Words

I did this for a post last month and judging by your comments, it was a popular idea. Therefore, in an effort to feed my endless hunger for popularity, I offer you another edition of "Pictures Not Words."

Today...Venice.

Now take a moment, shut your eyes and hear the lapping of the water against the buildings and the chatter of the crowds. Feel the sun kissing your skin as your hand wraps around a china cup filled with frothy cappuccino.

Have a wonderful Wednesday. Buon giorno!

  1. I'm THERE! Love these pictures. I chose Rome and Florence over Venice when I traveled to Italy and WISH I'd chosen Venice...so gorgeous.

  2. I love Venice. It’s quite easy for me to close my eyes and visualize the sights, sounds and smells of being there. Funny, it’s one of my favorite cities and one of my husband’s least favorite – go figure!

  3. Elizabeth; Nothing wrong with Rome and Florence - although Rome is so old it makes my brain hurt.

Jane; How could anyone not fall in love with this city? It astounds me. Ah well.

  4. I am in love with all these cities, Rome, Florence, Venice. If I close my eyes, I can imagine I'm right back there on the plaza, having a hot chocolate (I can't do caffeine)and people-watching. Great photos, Elspeth.

  8. Venice is nice, just don't fall in the water; it's gotta be toxic. No living thing in those waterways for at least 500 years.

  10. Carol; I would if I could - I just need the proper software.

Galen; I would think you're right. Apparently the smell in the summer is intoxicating!

Old Silly; I try to be honest. ; )

  11. Thanks for the mini tour Elspeth, I was in need of a vacation from my revisions. Wonder how many air miles that would require :)
