Picturing A Mystery

Every writer starts with this...

But if you write mysteries, you'll be dealing with this...

Of course, you have to have your this...

and your this...

And then, there's your this...

But he could look like this...

or even this...

And although the dreadful deed could be committed in a place like this...

It could also take place in a place like this...

After all, we all want our readers to do this...
NOT this...

Oh...and don't forget to add this...

Just kidding.
Or, am I?

  2. Elspeth - You've certainly captured all of the pieces of the mystery novel. Especially the cuddly monster. I'm still trying to figure out how to put one of those in my WIP....

Margot; I'm still trying to figure it out too...the thought just amuses me to a very great degree.

  6. Elisa; I'm sure it's wonderful even without the dragon. Or...maybe you could put a small model of one in the coffee shop. Look! More edits! And you thought you were done...

Carol; Debonair dragons are delightfully dreadful.

  7. Well, when I finally get around to writing my pulp mystery serial adventure, it won't have dragons, but I am considering giant carnivorous roly-poly bugs....

Charie; Why, thank you! And thanks for leaving a comment - hope to see you again!

Laura; My cats seldom thank me for anything; but I think they'd approve of the dragon.
