Gadzooks! A Hole!

You're busy editing...

when suddenly...

without warning...

You find this...
in your plot.

But...

Don't do this...

Just take a breath and do this...

If you do this...

You may discover where you did this...

OR...

If you do this...

You just may discover your this...

is really more a this...

or this...

Of course...

If it really is this...

You're going to have to build a this...

Or get your hands on a really big this...

BUT REMEMBER...

The most important thing is to do this...

or maybe this...

Hey, whatever works.

  1. Elspeth - Mmmm...cupcakes :-). I always hate falling into plotholes :-(. But that said, the last time I did it, I stepped back, reworked everything leading up to the plothole and it was OK. I just had to tell my characters to step around the hole. Not that they listen to me...

    1. Knowing it's there is half the battle! I'm sure your plothole wasn't too cavernous - you're far too careful for that to happen.

  2. This is where 15 year old daughters who are avid readers - and bakers of cupcakes - help me :-)

  3. Is that the picture from the Guatemalan sinkhole? That's pretty awful.

And I'd like a cupcake too, please. :)
