Wherein I endeavour to share writerly advice lightened with humour, pictures and a dollop of 1930s-1940s history.
Elspeth - Thanks, as ever, for sharing these wonderful looks at life in the '30's. I just love those bathing suits! They're not daring by today's standards, but they're so feminine. And who'd've guessed that all took place way, way aboveground?
Oh yes, I'd like one of those swimsuits - and if I was one of those blokes in the orchestra, I'd be rolling up my trouser legs at the very least :-)
Margot; Isn't this video great?Sarah; I'd be worried about the instruments what with all the splashing, etc.
oh, to be there. I suppose they were working though. Just seems so carefree doesn't it?
As always, thanks for the glimpses into the past.Terry Terry's PlaceRomance with a Twist--of Mystery
