Wherein I endeavour to share writerly advice lightened with humour, pictures and a dollop of 1930s-1940s history.
I remember this from the 60's, on the program, This Was the Week That Was. Great hoax. Where did you find it?
Bless Youtube. There are gems there.
I remember this! Still the best hoax so far.Wagging Tales
Isn't it great?
Elspeth - Oh, this is great! And it was indeed a wonderful hoax! Thanks for the reminder :-).
I'd never heard of it - although there is a reference in a Josephine Tey mystery about a student talking about 'fields of waving spaghetti' which I've always remembered.
Spaghetti crop...ha!I've never seen this...too funny. And we *did* have such a mild winter that who knows what might happen? :)
I'd never seen it either. Out here we had snow fall April Fool's morning! Very odd weather. It was just a dusting of snow - barely covered the tips of the grass, but still, it made me do a considerable double take.
Perfect for April 1. I laughed out loud.
