Let's go for a 1930s picnic! Here are a variety of baskets I've found scattered about the internet. All but one have links to where you can buy them, if you so fancy.
Elspeth - I love these! Basket #4 looks a lot like one we had when I was a child. My parents were young during the '30's, so that wouldn't surprise me. Oh, and I'll bring some fresh fruit to the picnic if other folks will bring other things ;-).

ReplyDeleteLiving in Florida, we had to use insulated coolers, but the idea of an old-fashioned picnic basket always made me want one.

Terry; I use an insulated cooler for the food and a wicker basket much like these for the dishes, etc.
